Terms of Service

1. About Dukazote

Dukazote is a directory of Instagram shops based in Kenya. We allow users to browse, review, and report shops. We do not sell goods or services ourselves, and we are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers listed on the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Dukazote. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are creating an account on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@dukazote.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.

4. User Content

When you submit a review, rating, shop submission, or any other content (“User Content”) you grant Dukazote a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform.

You agree that your User Content will not:

• Be false, misleading, or fraudulent.
• Infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Contain spam, advertisements, or unsolicited promotions.
• Include hate speech, harassment, or content that is unlawful under Kenyan law.
• Contain viruses, malware, or any code intended to disrupt the service.

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms without notice.

5. Shop Listings

Shops are listed on Dukazote for informational purposes only. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the quality, safety, or legitimacy of any listed shop or its products.

Shop owners may request the removal or correction of their listing by contacting us at hello@dukazote.com.

6. Reports

Users may report a shop as closed or no longer active. By submitting a report you confirm that you have checked the shop's Instagram profile and reasonably believe the information is accurate. Submitting false or malicious reports may result in account suspension.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from Dukazote without written permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
• Use the service to transmit spam or unsolicited commercial communications.
• Impersonate any person, business, or organisation.

8. Intellectual Property

The Dukazote name, logo, design, and all original content on the site (excluding User Content) are the intellectual property of Dukazote. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the site without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Dukazote is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dukazote and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Dukazote shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you by email or a prominent notice on the site. Continued use of Dukazote after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
